Valedictorians focus on science, engineering

The Newberg High School Class of 2013 valedictorians are headed to top colleges and universities across the country and in Oregon to pursue careers in engineering, science and medicine. The twenty valedictorians earned a 4.0 grade point average in honors courses at Newberg High School.

“This class has one of the highest number of graduates going to ‘stretch colleges’ that we’ve seen at Newberg High School,” said Green School Principal Karen Pugsley. “In addition to our valedictorians, more students in this class are willing to leaving their comfort zone, focus on their career goals and go for their first choice.”
