This Week in Newborn Nation

Newberg Oregon School District

TigerCon Senior Showcase Shows True Newberg Nation Spirit!
Wow! The Class of 2015 came out in style last night filling the commons and main corridor of NHS with energy, professionalism, inspiration and endless impressiveness! From horror movies to completely restored cars, self-published books, manufacturing surfboards, agricultural projects and unbelievable humanitarian efforts, 200+ of our seniors showed off their senior projects to our community, our students and our staff! It was quite a Newberg Nation spectacle to say the least!

All one merely needed to do was pick one of our seniors, any one, and listen to their presentation only to be awe struck by what you heard, saw, and understood of what they did, how they did it, and what it meant to them in terms of the holistic learning opportunity it provided. Our projects reached all around the globe touching every continent on the planet. They made a difference in people’s lives locally, regionally and globally! They brought good will to all through those efforts. The quality and quantity of the work that went into each project was commendable, a tribute to the work ethic the class of 2015 holds.

To listen to the presentations and how well our seniors publically speak, organize and present themselves was impressive. It was truly a moment in time where we found ourselves blown away at the comprehensive skill sets our seniors have developed! An authentic moment of Tiger pride, to say the least! We would like to commend and thank all of the seniors that participated on a job well done!

We would also like to express our appreciation to the 100’s of mentors in our community that helped and supported them as well as acknowledge our advisory teachers and advisory leaders who helps put this all together! It was a great Newberg Nation moment!
