Welcome Leilani Kamahoahoa

NHS Athletics welcomes Leilani Kamahoahoa to the 2011-12 Coaching Staff as the new head Volleyball coach.  Leilani joins us from Culver City High School in California where she coached volleyball for 6 years.  Leilani is a graduate of Canby High School and Seattle Pacific University where she played Volleyball and earned All-Region Honors.  She played professional Volleyball in Southern California for 4 years.

When asked about her goals for the Newberg Volleyball program, Leilani replied, “My goals for this year are to guide all the players to a better understanding the meaning work ethic, self-sacrifice, and determination. I’m excited for Newberg because all the players seem to be longing
for leadership and they are all so anxious to learn and grow. They want to work hard and we have the athleticism to go far as long as the knowledge is there.
