The Newberg School Board finalized the academic calendar for the 2013-14 school year. Additional days for parent conferences and professional development were added to the calendar footprint adopted last winter. Key dates include:

August 26-29 - Professional development, prep days for teachers
September 3 - First day of school grades 1-12
September 5 - First day for kindergarten
October 11 - Statewide Inservice/no school
October 24-25 - Conferences & Teacher Prep/no school
November 11 - Veterans Day  
November 28-29 - Thanksgiving Holiday Break 
Dec. 23 - Jan 3 - Winter Break  
January 6 - Professional Development/no school
January 7 - School resumes
January 20 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
January 31 - Teacher grading/no school
February 17 - Presidents Day
March 24-28 - Spring Break
April 17-18 - Conferences & Teacher Prep/no school
May 26 - Memorial Day
June 6 - High School Graduation
June 12 - Last Day of School- Half-Day
June 12 - Teacher Grading  Half-Day 
June 13 - Teacher Grading
