ENROLL IN SCHOOL
Registration
New students should register at their neighborhood school. Enrollment forms may be downloaded from the school district website. Entering kindergarteners must be five years of age by September 1. Please provide a record of your child’s birth, immunization record and evidence that the requirements of the prior grade are complete.
Immunizations
Parents are required to provide immunization records when enrolling a student in Newberg Public Schools. Oregon law requires immunizations for children attending public and private schools, preschools, childcare facilities and Head Start programs.
Attendance Boundaries
Students attend elementary and middle schools based on geographical boundaries. Use the link above to enter your address and find your school. School boundary maps are also online.
BUS TRANSPORTATION
Routes
Bus service is available to all eligible students within the Newberg School District boundaries. Elementary students beyond a one-mile radius from school and secondary students beyond a 1.5-mile radius from school are eligible for bus transportation. Route information is posted on school websites.
EVERY DAY COUNTS
Good attendance matters for success
One of the most important things students can do to be successful in school is also one of the most basic: go to school every day! Students with regular attendance are more likely to do well in school and graduate on time. A student who is absent two days a month misses an equivalent of nearly one and a half years of their schooling.
