Bond Update: Planning
Joshua Dodson with Day CPM is taking the reins as the Newberg School District’s construction project manager for school bond construction. Dodson will work with architects and contractors on the school district’s behalf.
The district competitively bid a contract for the bond construction project manager that drew response from ten firms. A committee that included members of the school board and the citizen bond oversight committee reviewed bids. The School Board awarded the project manager RFP bid to Day Comprehensive Project Management on November 8, 2011.
Status update:
- Construction projects: early design stages
- Technology: Since the initial replacement of computers in school labs, addition technology purchases to support student achievement will wait until research and carefully planning is conducted this school year.
