Troy Fisher, principal at Mabel Rush Elementary School, has accepted the position of Principal at Joseph Gale Elementary School in Forest Grove. He will finish out the year at Mabel Rush and begin his new duties on July 1, 2019."My time in the Newberg School District has been a wonderful experience and has helped me grow, both as a person and as a principal,” said Fisher. “This new opportunity gives me a chance to continue my growth, and provide me with a new and exciting challenge.  I will miss all the wonderful people I have had a chance to partner with over the last six years."

Fisher has provided excellent service as principal of both Mabel Rush and Crater Elementary schools during his time in the Newberg School District. The district will begin a search for his replacement at Mabel Rush in the weeks ahead.
