Civil War waged through school food drives
The Civil War is being waged through food collection bins in the lobbies of district schools. Ewing Young students brought in over 2,000 pounds of canned food, forcing principal (and Beaver fan) Kevin Purcell to don Duck gear and counselor (and Duck fan) Kevin Hall will dress in Beaver regalia this Thursday. The Ducks won the food drive contest at Dundee Elementary but the Beavers came out ahead at Antonia Crater. Winner is the local bank when it received over 2,400 food items.
Beavers and Ducks are still competing in canned food drives at Joan Austin and Mabel Rush. There is still time to support your favorite team when you bring your donation to the school lobby. All proceeds will be donated to Newberg FISH to support families in our community.
