The nationally award-winning sixth-grade Design Star program was singled out for intergovernmental cooperation when the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Government recognized the City of Newberg and Newberg middle schools with it’s Regional Cooperative Project Award. This annual award recognizes a partnership of local governments within the Mid-Willamette Valley for a project or initiative that enhances regional intergovernmental cooperation.
