Director of Finance Ilean Clute has accepted an offer to return to Forest Grove School District as their Director of Finance and Operations. This is a wonderful opportunity for her to return to working closer to home in a district where she has worked before.

“I am grateful to the Newberg School District and its community for the opportunity to work with some amazing people this last year,” said Ilean Clute. “This has been a very difficult decision for me to make, but right now, I have an opportunity to be closer to my son and family.”

“Ilean has done an incredible job for us, and we are very sad to see her go,” said Newberg School District Board Chair Bob Woodruff. “She has led us through a difficult season of budget reduction and given us a budget for next year that sets us up for long term financial stability.”

The District will post the position of Director of Finance immediately, and it will remain open until filled. Plans are being made for a smooth transition, with Ms. Clute remaining in Newberg long enough to ensure that the fiscal year financials are closed out effectively.
