Edwards, Austin libraries to open in July
The school libraries at Edwards and Joan Austin Elementary Schools will open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. now through August 21.
Read aloud story time is scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Story time at Edwards will be offered in the cafeteria during the lunch hour. All children under age 6 must be accompanied by an adult. New or gently used books are available to take home.
The school libraries are open to all families, thanks to funding through an early literacy grant awarded to the Yamhill County Early Learning Hub.
The Early Learning Hub is a statewide effort focused on early childhood education and school readiness. The Yamhill County Hub partners with education, business, health and human services to provide additional support to families to ensure healthy, stable children ready for kindergarten.
