Federal program providing free meals for children this summer

Breakfast and lunch are available for all children ages one through 18 at no cost through August 27th at the Edwards Cafeteria on East 6th. The summer food service program is part of the National School Lunch Program funded by the USDA. The local meal program is administered by the state and the school district.

Breakfast is served from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sack lunches are available at the Skate/BMX Park at the Ewing Young Historical Park at 12:30 p.m. and at noon at Memorial Park. The meals are free and no application is necessary.
