After three exemplary years with Newberg Public Schools, Shiloh Ficek has announced his resignation to become Nutrition Services Manager for McMinnville School District. He will finish the year here in Newberg.

Recognized as a statewide leader in school nutrition, Mr. Ficek has been a speaker and served on committees for the Oregon Department of Education, as well as mentoring other nutrition service directors. During the pandemic, Mr. Ficek led the excellent nutrition services staff in providing approximately 1.25 million meals to families since March 2020, including delivering some meals to their door. This led to his role expanding to include supervision of transportation services.

“I am proud of the work that has been done and the foundation my staff have made here in Newberg,” said Mr. Ficek. “I have made some amazing connections with students, staff and community during my time here. I want to thank my nutrition staff for trusting me as we navigated the pandemic and overcoming every obstacle. The success of our department is because of you! Wishing Newberg the best!”

Ficek se convertirá en Gerente de Servicios de Nutrición para McMinnville

Después de tres años ejemplares con las Escuelas Públicas de Newberg, Shiloh Ficek ha anunciado su renuncia para convertirse en Gerente de Servicios de Nutrición del Distrito Escolar de McMinnville. Terminará el año aquí en Newberg.

Reconocido como un líder estatal en nutrición escolar, el Sr. Ficek ha sido orador y sirvió en comités del Departamento de Educación de Oregón, además de ser mentor de otros directores de servicios de nutrición. Durante la pandemia, el Sr. Ficek lideró al excelente personal de servicios de nutrición proporcionando aproximadamente 1,25 millones de comidas a las familias desde marzo de 2020, incluida la entrega de algunas comidas en su puerta. Esto llevó a que su rol se expandiera para incluir la supervisión de los servicios de transporte.
