Free summer meal program starts June 20
A free summer breakfast and lunch program for children ages one through 18 opened today at four locations in Newberg. The federally-funded US Department of Agriculture-program feeding sites include:
- Edwards Cafeteria at 714 E. Sixth. Breakfast is served from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and lunch is served from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- St. Michael’s Church, Everest Rd. and St. Paul Hwy. – sack lunches delivered at 11:30 a.m.
- Pool Park, 1802 Haworth Avenue – sack lunches delivered at 12 noon
- Skate Park, 1201 S. Blaine Street - sack lunches delivered at 12:30 p.m.
The summer meal program operates Monday through Friday until August 26th. Please contact the school district office at 503-554-5000 for more information.
