Ken Austin Legacy
Newberg Public Schools offers our condolences to the Austin family, after the passing of Ken Austin last night. He and his wife Joan (for whom Joan Austin Elementary School is named) have been tireless supporters of education and countless community projects. Their commitment to service and generosity have a continued impact through the Austin Family Foundation. A 1949 graduate of Newberg High School (then known as Newberg Union High School) and founder of A-dec, Ken Austin will be missed. His impact on this community and on our school district is immeasurable.
