Superintendent Joe Morelock has named Casey Petrie as Acting Principal at Chehalem Valley Middle School for the entirety of the 2019-20 school year. Current Principal Karen Pugsley is on leave and will return later in the upcoming school year to manage other duties in the district for the remainder of the year.

“Casey Petrie has the experience and skills to lead Chehalem Valley well,” said Morelock. “Casey and the rest of the dedicated CVMS staff finished the 2018-19 very focused on students and families and I know that work and those efforts will continue very strongly next year.” 

The district will immediately begin the search for a Temporary Assistant Principal for the 2019-2020 school year.
