Learn about virtual options at Coffee with COLA

Join teacher Sue Henry for coffee and treats to learn about the Chehalem Online Learning Alliance (COLA), a new tuition-free virtual program for students in grades K-8 in Yamhill, Clackamas, Washington and Marion counties.

COLA is a tuition free program for grades K–8 that blends online and in-person learning with community-based enrichment. Students will learn at his/her own pace, using a curriculum selected by parents from nationally recognized curriculum providers including Calvert, Odysseyware and others.

COLA can help you give your child a great education by providing:
• Flexible program personalized to your child
• Self-paced curriculum moves at your child’s speed
• Outstanding support from local teachers, including regular face-to-face, e-mail and phone contact
• Supplemental materials and resources
• Community-based enrichment opportunities that extend learning beyond the typical school-day schedule

Drop in to learn more at these free Coffee with COLA events:

  • Tuesday, February 26th from 3-5 pm at Chapters Books, 701 East First St., Newberg
  • Thursday, March 7th from 1-2:30 pm at Coffee Cottage upstairs meeting room, 808 E. Hancock St., Newberg
  • Wednesday, March 13th from 9-11 am at Chapters Books, 701 East First St., Newberg

COLA is open to K-8 students in Yamhill, Washington, and Marion counties. Open enrollment ends March 30th.
