Message from the Superintendent
Dear parents/guardians, students, and community members,
It is great seeing our students back in school today, greeting them at the front door has been a highlight of my year thus far!!!
We hope everyone is as excited for this new school year as we are. We appreciate every single one of you being here, and look forward to making some good memories with you.
Many of you have let us know that our new bus system and routes are not set up or working for you. We hear your frustrations, sympathize with your sense of urgency, and acknowledge the confusion and inconvenience this has caused you. Providing safe and timely transportation for your children is a top priority to us. Even now, we are working closely with Student Transportation of America to ensure that every inquiry is answered, and that every child is taken care of. We are sincerely grateful for your patience, and promise to make ourselves readily available to you if you have any questions about your child’s bus route.
We are updating our website with busing updates in real time. Please be sure to check this link for news concerning any new developments.
If you have not downloaded the Traversa 360 app, we highly recommend that you do so.

If you need to speak with Student Transportation of America directly, you can reach them at 503-567-2835. Wendy, the Operations Manager, is ready to help you.
Finally, you can reach out to the district office - specifically my office - if you are still in need of assistance. (503) 554-5000. I have had the opportunity to speak with several parents over the last couple of days and offer support. I am sorry that our current transportation issue has dampened the excitement that should accompany your child's first day of school.
Once again, thank you for being here and for being great parents and community members. We look forward to partnering with you in making this a great year for everyone.
Sincerely,
Stephen W. Phillips, PhD
