Minor Fire Ignites on Newberg High School's Roof

On Tuesday, Aug. 1 at about 6:30 p.m., black smoke was observed coming from the roof of Newberg High School. The fire department responded immediately and extinguished the fire, which appeared to be the result of fresh tar work on the roof. No one was injured in the fire and damage appears to be minimal.
