Do you have a passion for helping others? Would you like to make a difference in the future of a Newberg High School student?

The NHS College and Career Center is initiating a new volunteer program to help guide and prepare students making post-secondary decisions about college, the workforce, trades or armed services. Your time and expertise would help students explore career options, develop and execute detailed plans to reach their goals.

Volunteer opportunities vary depending on your expertise and availability.  Options include industry resources, class speakers, job shadow hosts, career mentors, ASPIRE or senior project mentor or volunteering to help organize the NHS annual college and career fair. The time commitment ranges from a 15 minute phone call to discuss your career choice to bi-weekly, one-on-one mentoring with a student on a college application process or job search.
