Newberg Ford, Dodge named 2014 Partners in Education
The Newberg School District “Partner in Education Award” recognizes businesses and individuals who demonstrate outstanding support for public education. This year, the school district presented the 2014 award to Newberg Ford and Newberg Dodge for their ongoing support for kids.
Sales Manager Paul Pappas accepted the award for Newberg Ford. The auto dealership teamed up with the Newberg Booster Club to raise thousands of dollars for Newberg High School at the one-day “Drive 4UR School” test-drive event that starts at the high school. Both Newberg Ford and the Booster Club put in countless hours to successfully promote and operate an event that generously supports athletic programs and scholarships.
Newberg Dodge, led by General Manager Tim Graves, is an active investor in our community’s young people. Newberg Dodge also sponsors a test drive event that has supported the NHS Robotics program and Newberg Booster Club scholarships. They are a high school “Field of Dreams” donor and for the past two years have been the title sponsor of the Booster Club Crab Feed Dinner. Their support extends to local elementary schools, Little League teams and schools in surrounding communities.
The support of these two Newberg businesses has meant that every student who wants to participate in athletics of activities is not turned away due to costs. Their support means teams have equipment and supplies – whether its robotics or softball. It also means scholarships for graduates to continue their education.
