NHS senior to serve on city traffic safety commission

The Newberg City Council recently appointed Newberg High School senior Norma Uribe to the Traffic Safety Commission, one of three city commissions that include student positions. Norma says she wanted to be on a committee “because it is a great opportunity to be more involved with the things that are going on in my community.” The 17-year old student says she enjoys being part of the Newberg community because she finds the people who reside here to be amazing, caring and helpful to those who need it. She is looking forward to her term on the Traffic Safety Commission. She begins her term on the Traffic Safety Commission on January 1, 2017.
