For the past 16 years, Crystal Apples have honored exceptional teachers and staff who make a difference in their schools.

This year the 2016 Crystal Apple Awards will recognize five outstanding elementary, middle and high school teachers and staff. Recipients are selected from nominations by parents, students, school employees and community members and are presented  at the district’s annual Crystal Apple Awards employee recognition program held in June..

Nominations for 2016 awards are now open and nomination forms are available in each school building or online. A description of  how the nominee contributes to school priorities must be included. Nominators can submit a single-page narrative, letter or video. Nominations will be accepted through May 20, 2016.

Recipients of 2015 Crystal Apple Awards are Sharon Smith, Elementary Teacher; Teresa Conway, Middle School Teacher; Christy Crisman, High School Teacher; Jeff Dale, Instructional Assistant; Sarah Malone, Classified Employee; and Don Staples, Administrator.
