The Newberg-Dundee Public Schools (NDPS) community welcomed five new School Board members during a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, July 11 at the District Office, shortly after saying goodbye to five outgoing School Board members the month before.

Superintendent Stephen Phillips delivered the oath of office to the new School Board members are: 

• Sol Allen, Director, Zone 7, four-year term
• Debra Bridges, Director, Zone 2, four-year term
• Jeremy Hayden, Director, Zone 3, four-year term
• James Wolfer, Director, Zone 6, four-year term
• Nancy Woodward, Director, Zone 4, two-year unexpired term (completing another Director’s term)

School Board Directors Trevor DeHart and Renee Powell will continue to serve on the School Board. The Board chose Director Nancy Woodward as the Chair and Director Deb Bridges as the Vice Chair.

In June, the NDPS community said farewell to five School Board Directors: Dave Brown, Shelley Kolb, Raquel Peregrino de Brito, Ron Rilee, and Brian Shannon. The two Student Representatives for the 2022-23 school year were Lucia Tomaselli and Moira Turpen. The new Student Representatives will be chosen this fall. Stay tuned for details on how to apply.
