“I’m thrilled to serve as the next permanent superintendent for the Forest Grove School District. I believe my skills will help lead the district into the future,” explained Parker. “I am really proud of the accomplishments we’ve made at Newberg Public Schools and I know the administrative team will continue to push our successes forward. There is a lot of work ahead, and I’m committed to working alongside our staff and community through June 30 to solve the budget challenges we face.”

Parker earned his Master of Science degree from Lewis and Clark College. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He earned his administrative license from Lewis and Clark in 2007.

Newberg Public Schools’ Board of Directors is in the process of naming an interim superintendent for the 2018-19 school year. Current Superintendent Dr. Kym LeBlanc-Esparza has decided to return home to Colorado at the end of the school year to continue her work in education closer to her family.
