Twenty retiring Newberg School District employees were honored Monday at the district’s annual Crystal Apple Awards. The combined experience of the retiring teachers, classified employees and administrators total 415 years of experience the school district is losing.
Included in this year’s group of retirees are seven Crystal Apple recipients who have been recognized for their outstanding service to the school district.

Employees marking five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five and thirty years of service to the school district were also honored Monday. Their combined years of service total 1,110 years in the Newberg School District.
