School board election results

Unofficial results for the Newberg School Board election show that voters returned three incumbent board members to their current positions. Polly Peterson, Melinda Vanbossuyt and Debbie Hawblitzel will continue their service on the seven-member board.  Newcomer Mindy Allison will replace veteran board member Mitsi Vondrachek, who is “retiring” after  16 years of service.  Results from the Yamhill County elections office are as follows:

Zone 2

  • Polly Peterson  2,505

Zone 3

  • Melinda VanBossuyt  2,665
  • Write-In   56

Zone 6

  • Mindy Allison   1,648
  • Jennifer Fisher  1,447

Zone 7

  • Jason Yates   1,424
  • Debbie Hawblitzel   1,869
