Senior Experience Fair showcases student projects
SILVER School student Jose Antonio Saavedra spent eight months planning and organizing a free community health fair that involved 28 health-related organizations and 80 volunteers, including two who waved signs on Highway 99W, directing people to the Newberg High School.
Seniors Keely Abbot and Sara Reinking made Christmas brighter for several local families by organizing and collecting gift and food donations for the annual SILVER School Adopt-a-Family project.
Both are “Senior Experiences” that will be showcased along with other Senior Experience projects at the first of two “Senior Experience Fairs” on Wednesday, January 16th, from 6:30-8:30pm in the high school commons. The event is open to families, students and community members. Participating students will be on hand to present and talk about their projects.
SILVER School’s Senior Experience is required for graduation. Students focus on how they can use their career direction, interests, or skills and abilities to create a product or experience that benefits their future.
