Services set for NHS freshman

The Newberg High School community is saddened by the death of freshman Pedro Garcia on Friday, June 24th. A sense of humor and outgoing personality are what Spanish teacher Paco Benetti remembers most about Pedro. Others share that Pedro was a sincere, respectful individual who loved his family and was well liked by his fellow students. 

The Garcia family extends a welcome to services for Pedro this week, including a funeral mass at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29th at St. Peter's Catholic Church,  2315 N Main St. in Newberg.  Graveside services will be held following the Mass at Valley View Memorial Park, 
24279 NE Dayton Ave. in Newberg. A viewing is scheduled on Tuesday, June 28th from 3-8 p.m. at Attrell's Funeral Chapel, 207 Villa Rd. in Newberg.
