Springbrook name graces new education center
Taking a note from local history and acknowledging the original name of the Mountain View Middle School building, the Newberg School Board named the district’s new alternative learning center “Springbrook Education Center.” The new building will house the high school alternative school and provide space for future programs that offer alternative learning opportunities for students.
Construction on the new Deborah Road facility will be complete by April 5, ahead of the contract schedule which anticipated a June completion. Springbrook refers to an unincorporated community within what is now the eastern part of Newberg.
