Tight budget aligned to grads, college, career
The Newberg School District Budget Committee approved the 2012-13 budget is the amount of $86,081,347, which includes capital projects, federal and state grants, student body funds, food service and additional funds. The general fund, which is used to operate the district, is $41,522,480.
Schools continue to convert existing resources and focus spending on aligning with goals outlined in K-12 Achievement Compacts, which are aimed at preparing students for high school graduation and college or career readiness.
The Newberg School Board will hold a Budget Hearing on June 12, 2012 during the regularly scheduled School Board meeting to adopt the 2012-13 budget.
