Annual Crab Feed and Auction set for February 4

The hottest ticket in town next month is the Newberg Booster Club Crab Feed and Auction. This event is the Booster Club's biggest event of the year and tickets are expected to go quickly. The evening promises a fresh crab dinner, silent and oral auctions plus music by the popular Ben Rice Band. The menu includes a pulled pork sandwich, baked potato, salad, breadsticks and adult beverages.

Last years event raised approximately $13,000. Proceeds help the Booster Club purchase uniforms and equipment, defray travel expenses, fund scholarships and support athletic participation. Monies raised will support a new all-weather synthetic turf field that will greatly expand the use of the field for academic, athletic and community activities. This year NHS performing arts groups will also share in the proceeds.

The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 4th in the Chehalem Armory. Tickets are $30 per person or $55 per couple and are available at any NHS home athletic event and the Tire Factory, 2305 Portland Road, Newberg.
