Chamber Greeters in the Greenhouse

NHS Greenhouse welcome Chamber Greeters

The popular weekly Greeters program drew approximately 60 members of the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce to the NHS Greenhouse Friday to learn more about the high school program. Students conducted tours of the campus greenhouse facilities and visitors took in the variety of annuals, perennials, vegetable starts, planters and hanging baskets.  Horticulture and biology teacher Peter Siderius credited community donors, volunteers and key organizers Bryan Stewart, Cindy Kinnaman and Patti Gregory, for helping to revive a struggling program. Last month Stewart, Kinnaman and Gregory were named Partners in Education by the Newberg School District for their contribution to the NHS Greenhouse program.

The annual NHS Greenhouse plant sale begins May 6 at 9 a.m. Sale times are 9a.m. - 6 p.m. May 6 & 7, 13 & 14 and 20 & 21.
