Lead in Drinking Water

All district buildings were tested for lead in taps used for drinking or food preparation in 2016. The district followed the Environmental Protection Agency's 3 T's Revised Technical Guidance to ensure that samples were collected properly and from the correct places. Any taps with more than 20 parts per billion of lead have been shut off, pending mitigation and re-testing. Results of testing are available below. Alexin Analytical Labs, an Oregon Health Authority accredited lab, has done all the testing.

In the future, all district buildings will be re-tested for lead in water every five years. Half the buildings will be tested one year, the other half tested (e.g. in 2021 Antonia Crater, Edwards, Joan Austin, Mountain View, Springbrook, district office and the physical plant; in 2022 Dundee, Ewing Young, Mabel Rush, Chehalem Valley and NHS will be tested.
