Transfers
Inter-district transfer forms for 2023-24 are currently being accepted. All forms are attached at the bottom of this page.
Transfer Processes for Newberg School District
Parents interested in transferring their children to another school within the Newberg school district must apply for an intra-district transfer. Parents living within the Newberg School District boundaries who wish to enroll a child in another district must apply for an inter-district transfer. Forms are at the bottom of this page.
Please accompany your transfer request with a brief, written description of why you wish to transfer.

To transfer within the Newberg School District
Complete the intra-district transfer form (available on our website and also may also be obtained from your school office) and submit it to the principal of the school in your assigned attendance area.
The principal will forward a recommendation to the principal of the requested school. The principal of the requested school may meet with the parents before sending a recommendation for approval or denial to the superintendent for a final decision.
Applications to attend school outside the assigned attendance area for the next school year must be received by March 31. Building-to-building transfer requests received after March 31 will be held for future processing. Please contact your school for questions about post-March 31 submissions.
To transfer to or from another school district
To attend school in another district individuals must apply for inter-district transfer acceptance, and request to be released from their home district.
Inter-district transfer forms are attached at the bottom of this page and may also be obtained from the district office.
For admission to the Newberg School District coming from a different district, please fill out the Request for Admission form.
For release from the Newberg School District in order to attend school in a different district, please fill out the Request for Release form.
Please take a look at the 2023-24 Inter-District Transfer Guidleines before applying to determine whether or not your student is eligible.
Processing of transfer forms can take up to 10 business days.
